Day 19 – Natural.

Part 1.

Natural 1

This is natural. The process of life. Giant bamboo grows tall from the abundant food source, sunshine and water of the monsoon, grows less in the dry season. The leaf litter falls, when the rains come, fungus decomposes and turns the leaf back into nutrients in the soil thus feeding the growth of the bamboo. The many beautiful, surreal and weird forms of fungus, each specialising on a different food source, play an important role in the cycle of life, but are not treated as such by most people.

Part 2.

Natural 2

This is unnatural. A precious life. A little child grows up small from lack of food in the sunshine and water of the monsoon, grows less in the dry season. Playing in the litter, when the rain comes, the decomposing turns any nutrients to mould thus even less food for the growth of the child. The many beautiful, real and normal street-kids, each specialising in a different begging or selling ploy, do not play an important role in the cycle of life, and are treated as such by most people.
